Welcome to Oregon Sigma Pi online.
Sigma Pi Fraternity International was founded on February 26, 1897 and since that time has come to symbolize the ideals of leadership, academic excellence, friendship, chivalry and service throughout our community. Sigma Pi currently ranks as one of the largest and fastest growing fraternities in North America with over 200 chartered chapters and nearly 100,000 initiates. The men representing Sigma Pi are proud to announce our presence at the University of Oregon as the newest fraternity on campus in the past ten years. The Founding Fathers of Sigma Pi feel it is their duty to combat negative stereotypes through honorable actions and bring out our tradition of excellence to our the University of Oregon.
Oregon Sigma Pi is made up of a group of diverse individuals united by common loyalties, values, and goals.
The Sigma Pi Creed:
I Believe
in Sigma Pi, a Fellowship of
kindred minds, united in
Brotherhood to advance Truth
and Justice, to promote
Scholarship, to encourage
Chivalry, to diffuse Culture, and
to develop Character, in the
Service of God and Man; and
I will strive to make real the
Fraternity’s ideals in my own
daily life.
Within Sigma Pi, we allow brothers to become an integral part of a close-knit brotherhood without losing any individuality or identity. Although the duties required of our founding fathers are rigorous, there are endless leadership opportunities, which allow our members to get the utmost from this unique college experience. The challenges in founding a fraternity are many, but the rewards are eternal. As a member of Sigma Pi, we will leave a legacy of greatness behind at the University of Oregon that “A New Generation of Leaders” will follow.
Progress, man's
distinctive mark alone,
Not God's, and not the beasts;
God is, they are.
Man partly is and wholly hopes to be.
