Community Service
The men of Sigma Pi, Iota-Epsilon chapter, have always been deeply committed to involving themselves around the University of Oregon campus as well as the community of Eugene as a whole.
Since its chartering in 2007, Iota-Epsilon chapter has been involved with many different events in Eugene ranging from helping Eugene’s Committed Partners for Youth with their Annual Truffle Shuffle 5k run to being ushers for Lane County’s Annual Martin Luther King Jr.’s Day Celebration. We have pioneered a program called Sigma Santas, which consists of the men of Iota-Epsilon chapter traveling to different elementary schools in the Eugene School District and reading Christmas stories to the children, as well as making gingerbread houses with the classes.
Our gentlemen are also deeply committed to helping out on the University of Oregon Campus. We have participated heavily in the University’s annual University Day, which is a campus wide beautification project.
Our Communinty Service chair is Brendan Head.
